  Ocean Renewable Power Secures Lead Investment from Quercus Trust

Fall River, MA – Ocean Renewable Power Company, today announced that it has secured an additional $1 million in funding in the form of a convertible preferred equity bridge financing from California-based Quercus Trust.

Today's announcement provides additional funding for the development of Ocean Renewable Power Company's (ORPC) proprietary technology for the generation of electric power from ocean tidal resources. Potential for tidal energy capacity in the United States and Canada is as high as 20,000 megawatts.
